*I have been suffering from acne all through my teenage years. I recently moved to U.S. and my problem exacerbated. None of the over the counter medicines - like proactive, nuetrogena, etc. worked. I was looking for a holistic treatment for my problem and would consider myself fortunate that I found Dr. Chen. Dr Yang. After 4 treatments, my face improved and by the end of 8 treatments, I can say that my acne was cured by 90%. My stress level also went down and I feel much more relaxed and calm now. Besides the treatment, Dr. Chen is also a great friend and advisor and he heals at a spiritual level as well, advising behavioral changes to hasten the results. I developed moderate acne at the age of 19 and I tried every prescription cream, antibiotics, birth control, and even Accutane in an effort to alleviate my condition. None of these medications helped instead they dried up the oil in my skin and so on top of my acne I developed red and itchy skin. I sought treatment from Dr. Yang because I wanted a natural and holistic treatment. I noticed significant results after two weeks of treatment and the redness and persistent itching I had experienced for months was completely gone. Now if I get a pimple it is very small and goes away in about two days whereas before Dr. Yangs treatment I would get deep cysts that took about 2 weeks to completely heal. I also noticed that I am less anxious and have better concentration than before undergoing treatment. Dr. Yang is a true healer, she has excellent bedside manners and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her treatments to people suffering with acne.

* I have had acne for years since I was a teenager. I started taking a medication called Tetracycline over a year ago and didn't like the fact of taking medicine everyday to make my skin somewhat clear. Yes my skin was clearer than it usually was by taking the medicine but I still had breakouts and wanted to live a more natural life without medication. Over Mother's Day weekend of 2004 I had a really bad breakout so bad that my face hurt and becoming extremely painful due to the large nodules on my face, neck, and jaw region. I started seeing Dr. Yang May 29, 2004 and by August my skin was completely clear with no blemishes at all. I have never had pretty skin and when my co workers, friends, and family noticed the difference in my skin and made comments on how good my skin looked. I couldn't believe the outcome of the treatments I had received from Dr. Yang. I have tried everything to make my skin clear and pretty much nothing worked but I can tell you after Dr. Yang's help all I use now is Dove sensitive skin bar soap to wash my face every morning and night and use alcohol as a toner and my skin is beautiful!!! Of course as Dr. Yang will tell you it won't work overnight but you have to give it a chance to see results and believe me it is worth the wait!! Thank You Dr. Yang.

When I first came to Pain Care Acupuncture Clinic I was experiencing chronic low back pain. I had been suffering with it for over a year. I saw my general practitioner who told me aches and pains were a normal part of ageing. I am 36 years and have married for 11 years. After I finished my graduate school, my husband and I realized that we should have a baby. We had tried for almost 4 years and found it was so difficult to conceive. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for over a year. My cycles were very irregular. Even though my ob/gyn said I was okay and my husband's sperm was okay, we were still not getting pregnant! I was diagnosed with a large cyst on my right ovary and the OB/GYN prescribed birth control pills, the most common treatment for this condition. However, I felt like just another patient, simply processed, with my unique concerns unacknowledged. I discovered that Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) held a different perspective. Instead of gynecological, ovarian cysts are a symptom of liver stasis, which can be treated with Acupuncture. After reading the testimonials on Dr Chen's Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy website, I felt that this clinic was a good match for me. From our first meeting, Dr. Chen expressed a genuine interest in me as an individual and listened to my specific concerns. I believe that his patience, caring, and gifted TCM skills helped heal me. After one month of acupuncture treatment (six sessions) and daily herbal tea, I returned to the OB/GYN office for my scheduled sonogram to monitor the size of the ovarian cyst after its diagnosis six weeks earlier. The OB/GYN office was amazed - the large ovarian cyst had shrunk completely and quickly.

When I first came to see Dr. Chen in July, 2005, I had a "seroma" which is fluid or serum that has accumulated in a dead space in the body. On a sonogram the seroma looked like a 14 cm cyst! As a result of abdominal surgery I had in December of 2004, so much fluid had accumulated in my abdomen that it had pushed my uterus forward and to the left side of my body. I also had a fibroid in my uterus that you could feel if you ran your hands across my stomach. It sat a good inch to the left of my belly button and was very hard to the touch. Dr. Chen suggested I come for acupuncture treatments twice a week for 5 weeks. I was also taking an herbal formula twice a day, 7 days a week. Within that short time period my fibroid got softer and the seroma began to shrink. I could actually feel my uterus slowly moving back toward the center of my body with my hands. At the end of the first series of treatments I felt so encouraged by the progress we'd made that I signed up for a second series with Dr. Chen. Halfway through it, the fibroid disappeared altogether! My stomach was suddenly soft all over and you couldn't feel my uterus anymore. (After years of trying to have a "hard body" stomach I was suddenly overjoyed that it was soft and squishy.) The fluid that had been filling my abdomen had begun to be reabsorbed into my body. Although I haven't had a second sonogram yet to tell my how much smaller the "cyst" has become, the change in what I can actually feel with my hands is enough to convince me that the fertility specialist who told my that acupuncture "wouldn't make a bit of difference in reducing the size of the cyst" could not have been more mistaken!

Low Back Pain

I had slept wrong and twisted my back. I was in a great deal of pain when I would walk, sit, stand, or bend. I suffered for about a week prior to seeking out a chiropractor, but I have had back problems since my teenage years. I have had a few treatments by previous chiropractors. Dr. Ming Chen seemed proud and enthusiastically cheered me on for accomplishing my progress.I have had good results. I realize that the responsibility for improvement is mine. Dr. Chen showed me what is needed to strengthen my core, but unless I follow through it will be of little benefit. I would and have recommended Pain Care Acupuncture Clinic.
